Here’s a list of five beginner-friendly fish that are beautiful, adaptable, and easy to care for.

Betta Fish (Betta splendens)

Why They're Great:


Bettas are stunning with their flowing fins and vibrant colors. They’re hardy and can live in smaller tanks, making them perfect for beginners with limited space.

Tank Size: At least 5 gallons.

Care Tips:

  • Keep them in a heated, filtered tank.

  • Bettas are territorial, so house them alone unless you’re experienced with tankmates
